Indian Head Massage
I trained in Indian Head Massage with the London School of Indian Champissage (International) (LCICI), the School set up by Narendra Mehta in 1995.
Indian Champissage (Head Massage) includes massage of the shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp, face, ears and energy balancing and is based on the traditional form of head massage practised in India for over 1,000 years.
Many people carry a lot of tension in their shoulders (often without even realising it) and this can cause stiffness, headaches and pain.
Indian Head Massage is a wonderfully relaxing therapy, safe to give and extremely beneficial for the following:-
- Muscle Relaxation
- Loosening of Tense Shoulders/Stiff Neck
- Relief from Headaches, Eyestrain, Sinusitus and Insomnia
- It promotes a wonderful sense of relaxation and calm
A treatment will last approximately half an hour with an initial consultation before the first treatment.
I do not use oils for the massage as this can be done without and thus prevents your hair becoming all oily!
You can remain fully clothed for this treatment (best to wear a thin, lightweight top so this is easy to work through).
The cost for a 30 minute Indian Head Massage is £25. This can be done on a mobile basis (mobile add £5 for petrol/travel time).
Ayurvedic Facial Rejuvenation Massage
This is a traditional routine using marma points that aims to relax the face muscles, improve muscle tone and enhance the natural metabolism of the skin, thus improving skin texture and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and helps to prevent the formation of new ones. As a holistic therapy, it aims to promote balance and harmony throughout the whole body.
I use an oil for this facial which is extremely relaxing. The appointment time is 1 hour. This also incorporates a Mongolian eye massage.
The cost of the Facial is £48.
Thermo Auricular Therapy (Ear Candling)
Ear Candling may help in removing ear wax, recurrent ear infections, sinus problems, helping colds, helping with balance and inner ear problems, tinnitus, headaches and sore throats. The candle is gently inserted into the ear to draw out impurities and relieve pressure in the head and sinuses. The treatment is suitable for children who often have frequent ear infections.
Ear Candling promotes great relaxation and reduces pressure in the ears and sinuses.
I only use the best quality candles which are different from conventional wax candles. These candles are a cotton tube, with a filter, and contain beeswax, honey, sage, camomile and oils.
The treatment involves the client laying on one side, with their head supported by a pillow. The candle is then lit and held while it gently burns down, creating a warm feeling. Often the client will hear hissing or crackling but this is part of the treatment. This is then repeated on the other side.
After the treatment, you will remain laying down while I perform either a gentle facial massage or a short reflexology treatment (your choice) focusing on the sinus and congested areas to assist the circulatory and lymphatic flow. This will further enhance the benefits of the treatment.
Most deposits removed from the ear will evaporate during treatment but some are found in the candle when we open this after the treatment.
The cost of the Ear Candling including 15 minutes where you have to remain lying down to re-balance is £40 (approx 50 mins)
It is nice to follow this treatment with a 30 minute reflexology treatment where I focus on the related areas (sinuses, ears, lymphatic system). The treatment time will be approximately one and a half hours £50.
Unfortunately I do not offer the ear candling mobile.
Other Therapy Combinations
I am happy to combine any of my treatments. The cost for any two combinations for mobile will be £48 (i.e. 30 mins head massage plus 30 mins reflexology). (Please add £5 if not local).
Any one of the above plus Ear Candling Treatment is £50
(the extra £5 covers the cost of the candles).
